About NYGO
New York GO is a Bona fide nonprofit organization established in New York City in 1986 to serve as an auxiliary to the church.
For over 25 years, New York Gospel Outreach (New York GO) has offered a unique, cross-cultural missions conference in New York City with a focus on street evangelism and apologetics. Days revolve around a time of worship, prayer, and thorough training in evangelism. Participants would then take to the streets of New York and apply what they had learned. At the end of the week they were challenged to continue sharing their faith within their own communities – at school, work, in their city streets.
In 2007, New York GO entered a season of hibernation in order to recalibrate and evaluate our mission and its service. We have adopted our new name for these two reasons.
1. We have renewed our focus on New York City.
2. We have reignited our desire for impact. “GO” signifies constant action. As people come in contact with us, we approach them as catalysts—inspiring Gospel-centered passion and equipping a Gospel-driven generation of students.
Today, New York GO’s continues to provides High Impact Missional Experiences (HIME) designed to renew, refocus and reignite youth ministries.
New York GO Programs:
Level 1 – Vision (VNYC)–
Length: Three days/Two nights
Age Group: Designed for the entire family, with children ages 9-12 years old
Location: New York City
Our goal is to cast a vision for missions and world evangelization, while incorporating all the elements of a fun family vacation—sightseeing and shopping in New York City, the Capital of the World.
Level 2 – Urban Missional Camp (UMC)
Length: Five days/Six nights
Age Group: Designed for Junior High/High School students
Location: New York City
Our goal is to challenge our teens to discover the differences between nominal Christianity and an ignited, passionate life that is driven by the Gospel.
Level 3 – The Next Level (TNL) –
Length: Six days/Seven nights
Age Group: Designed for Junior High/High School/College students ages 15-25
Location: New York City
Partnerships with local New York City churches help students understand what “service” truly means. They will serve the local church and its mission while strengthening their own faith.
Level 4 – International Gospel Outreach (iGo)
Length: 1-2 weeks
Age Group: 18 and older
Location: Overseas - focused on Cities
We partner with international churches or church organizations in cities that are in the 10/40 window—that means we will be reaching parts of the world that contain the largest populations of non-Christians.
Level 5 – Internships
Length: 3 months, 6 months, or 9 months
Age Group: 18+ / College age
Location: New York City
Our program encourages the formation of a model life that is driven by the Gospel. We want to see God raise church planters, Godly marketplace leaders, and missionaries.
